If I perform an image backup of a 250GB drive with Windows XP installed (C:) Note: also applies to Windows 7 to an external USB drive.
Next I install and format a 500GB hard drive (Full format and not a quick format) and then restore the Image to the 500GB hard drive.
My question is: will the Master File Table (MTF) created when formatting the 500GB drive be replaced by the MFT which is part of the 250GB drive's image backup?
