After installing Ghost 15 (CD version 15.0.0.35659, updated via Live Update to 15.0.1.36526) on a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine also running Norton Internet Security v18.6.0.29, the computer with this installation can not be accessed by network shares running Windows XP home ( a netbook) or Windows 7 Pro (a laptop). However, the Ghost containing XP Pro CAN access the two mentioned computers. When Windows Explorer on either of the shares tries to access the Ghost machine the following error appears:
Note that NIS network security can be set at "Shared" or "Full Trust" but the same result occurs. If Norton Ghost 15 is uninstalled there is NO problem with either the shares connecting to the Win XP Pro machine or vice versa. Trying one of the suggestions on an earlier thread of stopping the Ghost services did not resolve the issue. Only completely uninstalling Ghost llows the shares to access the Win XP Pro machine.
Anyone have any suggestions to get the shares working with Ghost instaaled?
Thanks a mil,
Larry
