This problem has been occurring ever since I installed Ghost 15 on Windows 7 (64b) on this laptop (dual core AMD, 6GB memory, 500GB disk).
The destination of the backup is a Synology DS1512 NAS. The laptop is connected via a Gb Ethernet cable (wireless network is turned off). Cisco GbE switch in the middle. Cat 6 cables. Either very light or no other network traffic.
Started a One Time Backup of C: and System partition yesterday afternoon. Turned OFF Smart Sectoring. Turned ON Recovery Point Verification. Estimated time was 12+ hours (less than 400 GB of data on the C: drive).
Went to bed around 11 PM and it said 2 hours remaining.
This AM it said 4 hours remaining
At noon it now says 6 hours remaining
Looking at the destination folder on the NAS, there is a <laptop name>_C_Drive.v2i and a <laptop name>_System Reserver0-1_Drive.v2i file. There is no RPAM_Store.dat or <laptop name>.sv2i file.
Frequently, at this point the OTB will just fail. I don't know where to look for any logs
I have Win7 and Ghost 15 on 3 machines on this network. Not very happy with Ghost performance on any of them, but the other 2 will usually finish an OTB without much "drama".
