Hi guys!
I installed Ghost 15 last night on my wife's Acer Extensa 4420 laptop (Windows 7Home Premium , 32 bit upgraded from Vista). Install and first backup went flawlessly. I created a LightsOut restore and a custom recovery disk. On testing however, in the recovery environment, choosing 'restore computer' option, Ghost could not see the USB drive where the backup was made (Seagate Expansion 1 TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive (STBX1000101)). Drive is backwards compatible to USB 2. Should be noted that if I go into the 'backup' option in the recovery environment the drive IS visible.
Just for kicks I used the 'start network services' option; bingo, there it was. Interesting since this drive is hooked directly to the PC and is not supposed to require drivers. OK, so I'll just recreate the LightsOut restore and the custom disk with 'automatically start network services' selected. Did that.
Now, when I boot into recovery environment, either way, I get 'Cannot get network adapters'. After clicking ok I CAN still see my backup drive.
I guess I'm at a point where the PC is recoverable but the error bothers me. Shouldn't need any network services or extra drivers to see this drive.
Thanks for any thoughts!
Tom
