Ghost 15 removable media problem

I was attempting to create a onetime archival backup of my system disk to DVD. At rougly 72% complete I received the error message that the device or media did not mount.  Rather than pausng, asking me to replace the media and giving me the option to either "Retry" or "Cancel Backup" Ghost cancelled the backup.  Given that I had spent 4 hours swapping and labeling DVDs and that 12 of them now have to be thrown out (Symantec should pay me for them), ths is a SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW.  I've been in the software developmen field for 30 years and would have thought that Symantec would have learned these lessons by now.

Additionally, the error that prompted the "device or media did not mount" message also appears to be an error in the software itself because I checked the disc at which the error occurred and Ghost had written the V2i file to the disc.  Perhaps, Ghost needs to poll the device and determine whether or not it is mounted and blank before it attempts to write.  If the disc is not mounted or is not blank, the user should be given an opportunity to correct the problem or quit the process.  If the option selected is retry, Ghost should do that, reiterating the check procedure before writing or giving the appropiate error message again.  Only when the retry is successful or the usrr quits should the current process be terminated.

It was after Ghost 15 was updated with SP1 that I ran into this design flaw and oversght.
