I'm using Norton Ghost 15 Sp1 to scheduled backups of my computer.
Since last week, (Had some Windows updates) on my Win7 Sp1 Ultimate 32 bit machine, I'm getting a volsnap error in the event log:
shadow copies of volume C: were deleted because the shadow copy storage could not grow in time
This happens every time I reboot the machine.
Ghost also gives errors that the Snap Volume is not enabled and that it cannot reconcile changes.
Windows System protection deletes all restore points when this happens.
I have 150 GB free space on the drive and System protection is allocated for 8% of the drive.
I thought this was a windows problem except that I did a repair of Ghost and tested several reboots, and the problem stopped.
However, I did a backup of my machine last night with Ghost, and this morning the machine would not resume from sleep. When I rebooted, I got the volsnap errors again and my restore points were gone and Ghost gave the Snap Volume Errors.
