Ghost 15 unallocated space problem

Okay so you have a 1 GB hard drive that you wish to use disk copy to copy your C drive to as a complete backup and a way to simply switch hard drives if you have problems. If you delete the partition on the target drive and then format it so it is clean it will show up in disk management as one single partition. Then do a copy the target drive will not be bootable. Delete the partition and now do a disk copy and now the same drive will boot! The problem is that Ghost 15 will create two partitions one of 149.05 GB and an unallocated 782.46 GB! If you delete the partition of a drive and allow Ghost to do a copy then it seems Ghost should not create two partitions only one! Using Windows XP Pro.
