Ghost 15 will no longer back up!?

After years of flawless performance, Ghost 15 has apparently decided to go crazy on my Win XP machine. Long story short, I decided to start clean. I went into the external drive where it backs up my two main internal drives once per week. Went into one of the subfolders -- the one holding backup files for my D drive -- and copied everything there into a backup of the backup on a second (1TB) external drive. Just in case. Then I go into Ghost and use the Manage Backup Destination to delete the backups for that D drive. Clean slate. Then I just down Ghost and reboot the entire system to be sure. I come back hours later thinking it's all going to be good. Instead I've got no backup at all. I've got this obscure error message ... "
-Error E7D1002A: Unable to create new 'I:\D drive backups\pc_D_Drive017.v2i'.  --Error E7D1001D: Unable to open 'I:/D drive backups/pc_D_Drive017.v2i'.  ---Error EBAB03F1: The system cannot find the file specified. (UMI:V-0-2001-42) "  Just to top it off, I looked inside Ghost before this post, and going into Manage Backup Destination (named My Passport) now shows "1 Recovery Point  2/12/2012 1042 pm  30.8GB  (C:\)  Unavailable  [My Passport] (Not Available)" Not only is there no D back up, but something is whacked with the C backup! Yes I can go into My Passport via Win Exploreer just fine. It's not unavailable. Can anyone tell me what's going on?
