For years I have been using Ghost 2003 without difficulty. The GUI would list the two (2) HDD's on my machine as: Disc 1 - partition 1 C:\, Disc 2 - partition 1 D:\ and the DOS version would list the two (2) drives as 1/1 [C:\] and 2/1 [D:\]. I recently added a third HDD to the machine and the GUI now lists the HD drives correctly as: Disc 1 - partition 1 C:\, Disc 2 - partition 1 D:\, and Disc 3 - partition 1 E:\. Unfortunately, for the OCD individual I am, the DOS version lists the HD drives as follows 1/1 [D:\], 2/1 [E:\], and 3/1 [C:\]. This bothers me and I would like to have the DOS program list the discs in correct order: 1/1 [C:\], 2/1 [D:\], and 3/1 [E:\].
How does Ghost 2003 "mark" discs for identification? Is this what is causing the out of order sequencing in the DOS program? Speculating, if I uninstalled Ghost 2003, used the Norton Cleaning Tool, and the reformatted drives 2 [D:\] and 3 [E:\] Could I reasonably expect Ghost 2003 to remark the disks so the DOS reference would be, as mentioned above, 1/1 [C:\], 2/1 [D:\], and 3/1 [E:\]? Is there an easier method of accomplishing the goal of a correct sequential listing in DOS?
