I use Norton Ghost 2003 to backup partition image for system restore purposes
I have opened 2 primary bootable partitions...all the others are extended ones..
partition 1 : 30GB
partition 2 : 25GB
In pri 2, I installed windows XP and add other software from times to times... Using Ghost 2003 to backup pri 2 into image file and keep at other extended paritition
In using Ghost 2003, everytime I use CDRom booting into DOS and saving the image file..
Previously it was perfectly ok for the saved image to be restored into pri 1 (booting into pri 1, Windows and everything work the same as pri 2. I take this as the measure to ensure the image saving being successful)
Right now, when I backup the current pri 2, the saving process is ok (file integrity ok etc). But problems occur after the saved image is restored to pri 1...
When boot into pri 1, Windows become frozen when it shows “Windows is starting up” (before “loading user settings”). I restart, but the problem persists. Thus right now, I can use pri 2 only..and the newest saved image cannot be used.. (I didnt tried to restore the image into pri 2)
There has been no changes to the hardware... (only that i add more software and the size of pri 2 is bigger)
Please help ...
