Had to replace a dead HDD, so we did a clean install of XP on a new SATA drive, then upgraded to sp3. Installed Ghost 9.0, then attempted to make a copy of the C partition, but Ghost stops with the following error message:
Description: An error occurred creating a backup of drive C:\. Error EBAB001A: An unknown exception has occurred.
Details: 0xEBAB001A
Source: Norton Ghost 9.0
We get the same error trying to copy other partitions. Uninstalled / reinstalled Ghost, but no joy. So, is Ghost 9.0 known to have issues with sp3 or with SATA drives? If not, any suggestions?
TIA,

Thanks for your reply.
Tried the workaround. Looks like it's time to upgrade...

That being said, Windows XP sp3 is not a supported platform for Norton Ghost 9.0. I would recommend using Norton Ghost 14.0 for this operating system. Thanks!
