Hi,
I have been using Ghost 9.0 for a while now with few problems. But I'm trying to restore backups to my
daughter's Dell Vostro 1000 laptop and when I boot from the Ghost 9.0 CD and select "Advanced Recovery Tasks",
the laptop just hangs. The restore image files were originally generated from this PC. It's not
I'm trying to clone another PC.
The funny thing is that I have the exact same laptop and it works fine on mine.
The laptop has dual AMD processors and over a gig of memory so I don't think it's a memory issue.
This happens when booting from the original master Ghost Release CD or even a copy of it that I tried.
I also reloaded windows XP and installed the Ghost software from the same CD but of course it would
not let me restore to the active & running disk partition. The image files are on an external USB hard drive.
When running ghost restore from a running XP OS, it found the restore files immediately so it seems
they are at least ok.
Any idea are greatly appreciated.
Thank You, Wayne
