Ghost 9 - Management Console has encountered an error

There was a previous thread that apparently has been locked (last post was August, 2008) for this issue. 

But there never was a resolution to the problem posted.  

 

Running Windows XP-Pro and Norton Ghost 9.  I have tried to stop the Norton Ghost in Windows Services and restarted it, but the same error occurs.  "Management Console has encountered an error and must be closed."

 

I realize Ghost 9 is an older version but with Windows XP I see no reason to have to upgrade.   The program should run just fine.

 

I am also running Norton Systemworks 2009 and Norton Antivirus 2009 - but the Ghost problem was there even before upgrading from Norton Systemworks 2005 (which included Antivirus).

 

If anyone has found a solution to the Ghost Management Console that actually works,  I sure would like to know.
