I have used older versions of Ghost (Ghost 2003 and version 9) for years with no problem. I have usually used these programs when I wanted to transfer my existing hard drive on to a new larger drive. I have also used version 9 for backing up. Somewhere along the line, I misplaced the jacket to the iversion 9 disk and now I can no longer register the program without it.
I do not mind springing for Ghost 14 and getting up to date, but my concern is whether the technology has changed to the point where version 14 will not able to read the version 9 backups.
Can someone tell me if my backups are accessible in version 14 before I do the upgrade? I am sure that I can resolve the registration process for version 9, but why go through the bother if 14 is better and will be backwards compatible.
