Ghost Agent stops and backup hangs at 95%

 

This just mysteriously started a few weeks ago. I have an image backup that starts every night at 10:00p I come in the next morning and the progress meter says 95%, and the backup just hangs. I cancel and it then says that Ghost can't connect to the agent. There is an option to reconnect, but that just puts me back in the same position.

 

I restart the agent manually, and the status screen finally shows up and says that the backup completed successfully. I don't know if the 95% or the "completed successfully" is a lie. I've seen others with this problem, but none ever came up with a solution. I have tried running the missed BU during the day, so I can watch it, but it still hangs ay 95% and Ghost says the agent has stopped.

 

Why is the agent stoping and needs a restart?

Why is the backup always stopping at 95%?

 

I haven't added any significant SW that I can think of, that would effect the backup.

 

Using Windows 7 with all of the SPKs installed.

Are you doing incremental Recovery Points? If so, yopu may want  to delete the backup schedule and recreate it so you can start a new set. I think I remember reading somewhere that the history file is being updated at 95%, so maybed something is corrupt.

 

BTW, you should delete the attachment on your post. It ghas your license key shown for everyone to see.

Thanks. I just deleted all schedules and set up a different drive for the backup. I'll have to see how that works. I should know in a few days.
