Ghost 15
I want to dedicate 3 x 1TB internal SATA drives as the backup destination (I will also use an off site backup to NAS)
Windows 7 disk management allows me to define these 3 drives as either a spanned or striped single 3TB volume (drive X:)
However my problem is that although Norton claims that Ghost is compatible with dynamic drives, when I attempt to use drive X: as the destination (whether spanned or striped), it is recognised as external (not internal) and then fails to find the drive with error EC8F1F62 at the next step.
Since the drive appears as an internal drive just like any other in windows explorer, why doesn't it work?
Norton support says it doesn't support software RAID (why ever not???) OK , a striped set is RAID 0, but I would have thought that a simple spanned volume could be handled OK.
Does anyone have any thoughts or workarounds for this? I would have thought it was a pretty basic requirement...
