Warning, I'm a newbie, but here we go... my hard drive (C:) is about full, and so I bought Ghost 15, and following the instructions, disconnected my second, slave hard drive (they're on the same cable), and connected a brand new hd, set to slave, to the same connector. Set BIOS to auto detect, and it did. Then following instructions in chapter 15 of the Ghost 15 manual, got to the point where I select the destination drive, and my new drive is not listed. On page 198 of Ghost 15 manual, 1st paragraph of "Copying one hard drive to another hard drive" it states "The new hard drive does not need to be formatted." So I didn't do anything to the new hd, just connected it.
I've searched the forum high and low, without success, most of the problems seem to come after the new hard disk is copied to.
Any idea as to what I'm doing wrong?
