My computer recently got Win32.Zeroaccess rootkit and, after trying every known program to eradicate it, I finally decided to bite the bullet and restore the machine from a backup.
The computer is running XP Home. I think it has 4GB of RAM. I'm using Norton Ghost v14 and I made a recovery disk when I got the program. The backup disk image is (I think) 186 GB.
The recovery starts out fine but when it gets to 29% of verifying disk image on the external hard drive I get the following error message:
"EBAB00CC: Application unable to continue due to lack of memory."
PLEASE help. My Life is/was on that machine.
