Folks...... here's the situation.
New Laptop.... misconfigured by Vendor..... 500 gig drive with 2 partitions
Drive C partioned at 58.6 gig -- Main drive
Drive D partioned at 527 gig -- "Data drive"
I have purchased and installed Norton Ghost 15....
along a good day's work installing and configuring
other software.
When I registered the Laptop with the manufacturer and I questioned them about the sizes of the partitions they remotely connected to the machine to take a look.
I was informed that the Manufacturer did not configure the machine but that the Vendor did and that the size parameters were reversed...... In other words the bug 527 part should be the OS and primary. A 60 gig D Partion is the way it should be.
I was informed that the Manufacturer would see a Technician out to swap the drive with a New properly configured drive.
So my Norton Ghost question......
I am successfully completed a 'One Time Backup' to an external USB driver.
After new, properly configured disk is installed ....... I should be able to install Ghost and
run a Restore.....?
