My Windows 7 Ultimate's 120GB SSD is failing and won't boot up (except in Safe Mode). It has 2 partitions on it, C: (for Operating System and programs), and D: (for data), both NTFS. I also have a 2TB HDD in this system. I bought a new 120GB SSD today and want to restore C: and D: to it.
I booted from my Ghost emergency disk, did a Partition Table Operations -> Save To File, then Delete. Then I started a "Recover My Computer", selecting C:, and the following:
Verify recovery point before restore
Check for file system errors after recovery
Set drive active (for booting OS)
Restore original disk signature
Restore master boot record
At 9% into the restore, I get "Error EA3905F9: Information mismatch in directory entry."
I am using Norton Ghost 12.
In a previous attempt, possibly when I hadn't done a Partition Table Operations -> Delete first, I got: "E7C30010 cannot write 63 sectors starting at LBA 63. Error 00000005: Access is denied."
What should I be doing differently?
