I hope someone can assist with this. I downloaded Norton Ghost 14 around the 28th of Nov. My system is an HP Pavilion 754n running XP Home. From the beginning, all I've accomplished is adding errors to the event log. I've had several online chats with support. During the first chat the tech repeated steps I had performed thru the Norton support pages; ran regfix, checked Snap Volume settings, and reinstalled Ghost with a clean boot. They also downloaded log files and said to check back in a couple of days. A couple of days later I was told it may take 3-5 days; after 6 days I was told it would take a max. of 14 days; after 16 days they were sorry the problem wasn't resolved yet; after 23 days I was told to check back in another 8 days. The logged errors along with error notes displayed by Norton Ghost are:

(After the error, Ghost will ask if I wish to proceed. If I select YES, it proceeds with backup of D:.)
Backup of D: alone appears to proceed quietly though I haven't allowed it to finish.
