Gmail not sending from Android phone when Norton WiFi enabled

Ever since I installed Norton WiFi on my Samsung (Android) phone, my gmail will not send the email. It doesn't matter if I'm at home using my internet (secure modem) or in a public location. I have Norton WiFi on my windows laptop and have no problem using the same mail accounts - it's only on my phone.

What gives? I found threads from 2017 with this problem and it seems Norton has no fix.

I will not allow support to have access to my phone/laptop - the fix needs to be listed in detail in the community website.

Please reply if a fix is available along with the link to instructions.

I have given up on using NWP with my Gmail email accounts. Every time I use NWP and access email, Google thinks someone has my password and blocks my access until I log into Google to verify it was me.  And I see this on both Android mobile and Windows laptop.

Sorry. No solution  that I know of. It may have something to do with the email client being used.
