I already tried that. GMail ignores the contact list if the recipient appears to be the sender.
I’ve just completed a few tests and sent a query to another department. I’ll post back when I learn something. It does appear we may be able to make an adjustment.
The cause appears to be that I am listed as the sender. This is a mistake. Please change the sender to something else.
Has there been any news on this problem?

Yes and no. It is not resolved as yet, but I have seen activity on the issue as recently as last night. I'll post back when I know more, I am watching this, and won't let it fall between the cracks.
We are currently working to resolve the gmail spam problem. Sorry for the delay on that, the permanent resolution seems to involve a coordinated response between at least 3 organizations.
If everyone that experiences this problem would kindly click the 'Not Spam' button in the gmail interface on any forum generated email messages it may speed a partial fix to the problem.
Allen, I do and as a result, it moves to my inbox. Next email lands in my spam box AGAIN.
Something in the way Symantec/Norton and gmail are talking (or shouuld it be not talking) is landing it there. Liz
There is most likely a differnt issue with the way mail is setup, I will check into this and report back.
