I've had a system die due to Mem Controller failure. The drive had Norton GoBack 4.0 loaded and was running Win XP SP3. Moved the drive to a different system using a USB carrier. Installed GoBack on to this system to attempt to recover the data. Now whenever I connect the old drive in the USB carrier the system blue screens.
The tech data for the crash is:
Stop:0x0000007c (0xc000005, 0xf73c3abb, 0xf7a208c8, 0xf7a205c4)
GoBack2k.sys -Address f73c3abb base at f73c1000 datastamp 434177fd
I cannot access my data on the old drive since GoBack as changed the MBR and partition table such that WinXP does not recognize it.
Is there a way to remove a Goback partition on a drive without losing the data in this situation? Or do you have an idea why the system is BSOD?
