I am a senior citizen and have used GoBack since it first came out many years ago. I also have always used Norton products and currently use Norton Security Suite. Because I had some issues with a hard drive I needed to uninstall GoBack 4.0. I have a legal original V4.0 CD copy. I am using Windows XP Professional with all current updates.
When I try and install GoBack 4.0 I receive the following pop-up:
"Norton GoBack Installer Information
Error 25011:NortonGoBack is unable to determine which of your hard drives is the boot drive. Norton GoBack cannot be installed until this problem is corrected."
I have tried to set up a path in the registry but no luck. I know you dear software engineers want me to use Ghost but that is a royal pain in the butt when trying to recover a previous version of a file! I also know that previously my version 4.0 was undated to 4.2 by Norton. Now I can't find the update anywhere that seems to be a legal site. I suspect that because of all the service pks for Windows XP, GoBack 4.0 isn't current enough to recognize where to install. GoBack 4.0 works just fine with XP so please, please someone take pity on this old lady and send me to a site that will allow me to safely download 4.2. I really need GoBack because I have "Senior Moments" and often need an earlier version of a graphic I've spend hours creating.
