I turned off my computer while GoBack was finding restore points (it was a mistake, I know). Now when I boot up, the GoBack screen freezes and I cannot use the mouse nor the keyboard commands to proceed. I can't even get to the welcome screen to use F8 for safe mode. I downloaded ngb_boot.iso, booted from a CD and used the unhook command with no luck. When tried the MBR repair command from the above .iso, it asked for the administrator password. I don't have the password and don't remember ever entering one.
Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this? I saw a previous thread on a related subject that suggested using a bootable Win98 disk and use the fdisk /mbr command. One other piece of info is that I have my old hard drive from 4 months ago that I used to clone my current drive. Needless to say, I really want the stuff I've done since then so I don't want to reclone.
Thanks
