Google has lost yet another antitrust case where next steps are to divest their Chrome browser. The judge in the latest decision made this statement:

https://www.axios.com/2025/04/17/google-ad-tech-monopoly-antitrust-ruling

“Google has violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act by willfully acquiring and maintaining monopoly power in the open-web display publisher ad server market and the open-web display ad exchange market, and has unlawfully tied its publisher ad server (DFP) and ad exchange (AdX) in violation of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act”.

Making things even darker for Google, this is a secondary reporting on Bleeping Computer:

*And to think, the corporate world operates on this business model of tracking, data collection, basically violating user privacy at every corner. Head up though. Google is on the cusp of a court mandate breakup of Chrome, the app store abuses, God only knows what else isn’t being publicly discussed yet. Chrome users may want to plan on using a different browser going forward.
