I'm literally in tears and begging for help on this. I've spent over 12 hours today on the phone and on chat with norton people, paid their $99 to supposedly get their virus removal expertise, spent the last 3 hours remotely letting someone access my computer through that service, and STILL the problem is there. She finally gave up and said she's escalating it to an "expert" even though that's what I was told I was paying for! Various people have supposedly fixed problems with my windows registry, updated my IE to the latest version, deleted many programs from my system, cleaned up things like temp internet files and cookies, and downloaded norton's tdss virus program, and still no solution. I'm at my wits end and ready to throw my computer through a window! I tried registering on bleepingcomputer.com to get some help there but can't seem to get recognized there. When I try to log in, it tells me my username or password is wrong, I could never get a validation email from there, when I request a new one be sent, it tells me there is no validation email to send, so it seems that for whatever reason, I'm just blocked out of getting help from there. When I say I forgot password, even though I'm quite sure of the password I set up, if I enter my email it tells me there's no record of an account with that email, but if I enter the username I set up, it tells me an email with further activating instructions will be sent, and then it never comes, and I've checked mys pam folder. So I don't know what to do, but it seems like I'm not going to be able to post on that forum.
The problems remains the same- search engine redirects- the norton people have thought they've fixed it a few times and it might work for the first few searches, but around about search 3 or 4 after they mess around with stuff, it starts redirecting again. Is there anyone who can help me?
