Green check boxes (safe search) to not appear on Chrome

When I enter a query in Chrome, only the green check boxes (safe search) above the CHROME RELATED RESULTS section (see attached image) appear next to a query results.

Below the CHROME RELATED RESULTS section (see attached image), none of the search results had a green check box next to it.  As a test, I opened a site I knew would be safe and confirmed via the Norton safe search in the top right menu, the site was safe.

Any ideas why this happens and what the solution is?

Thanks.  George

Edge - Google search results has Continuous Scrolling working.  Google search results above "Related searches" show Safe Web annotation.  Googe search results below "Related searches" do not show Safe Web annotation.

@Cars
Maybe, if your Google search results has Continuous Scrolling On...try with Continuous Scrolling Off.

Google Search Settings

Cars:

Put any word in the google search engine. For example I just now put in mystery books. On this page the first 8 results have green check marks by them. After the related searches the rest of the results starting with Simon and Schuster have no check marks-green or grey or red.

You scroll down to the bottom and it says More results. The same thing happens-no check marks of any kind.

Curious, is your Google Search setup as "All results" or "Verbatim"?
My setup is "Any time" and "All results"
as test: mystery books
"Simon & Schuster" is on page one (above Related searches) and has Norton Safe Web notation.

"Related searches" is at the bottom of page one.  Page two thru ten have Norton Safe Web notations.

Continuous Scrolling is On ... but, I do not see Continuous Scrolling.

Maybe, my Google Ad Settings is different and I'm not Sign'd In to a Google account.
Maybe, my Chrome settings are different.

Sans an ad blocker extension.  I see "Sponsored" search results.
Maybe, you run an ad blocker.
Regardless w/wo an ad blocker.  "Related searches" is bottom of page one.

Is Norton working on this or not? It would be helpful to know.

Windows 10 Pro, ver 22H2 10.0.19045.  MS Edge Version: Version 111.0.1661.62 (Official build) (64-bit)

As I still cannot duplicate what you are seeing, I have escalated this thread so Norton can look into this issue.

Please post back here with your OS version, and Chrome version.

My system... Win 10 Pro, ver  22H2 (Build 19045.2728). Chrome Version 111.0.5563.147 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Once I noticed what was happening, I haven't found a search where it doesn't happen.  My latest search: norton safe web green check mark missing.

BTW: I just checked and if you have the Google Setting of Continuous Scrolling set to Off, the results will end after Related Searches and you will then see "More Results" at the end.  I'm seeing the problems when Continuous Scrolling is On.  This leads me to believe Norton wants to work with a finite set of search results instead of a continuous list.  Just a hunch.

I was researching the manor of willesden. Put that in the google search engine and the first 10 results have check marks by them. Nine has green marks and one has grey.

Then click on More results and they have NO check marks. Go to the end of that & click on More results. NO check marks. etc. etc.

I do not get continued search results  after the Related Searches. Can you give a specific search wording that gets you this result. Then I can test to see if it has something to do with specific search types.

I was referring to the continuation of the results following the Related Searches. From just the appearance, it looks like the Related Searches section “turns off” the Safe Web markings. I probably didn’t make myself clear.

The related searches are not links to a web site other than another Google search results page. So there is nothing for Safe Web to monitor.

Windows 10 Pro, Edge browser:  I just logged in to post the exact same question.  I've noticed that websites listed below the section named "Related Searches" do not have any Safe Web marking.  But the section marked "People also ask" doesn't seem to affect Safe Web.

I would REALLY like Norton to address this.  I can't trust Safe Web if only the first 10 results are marked.

Yes that's right.

@Cars

Are you seeing the lack of check marks below the Related Searches section as gls555 and I are reporting above?

I have the same problem that I posted here with no reply back in January I think it was.

Since Google came out with their Continuous Scroll, the first 10 search items on my PC have a green check mark by them but the rest of the results have no check marks at all.

I hope that Norton came come up with a solution so that all search results in continuous scroll will have the green check marks again.

That's one of the reasons I feel safer using Norton is because of the green check marks.

Yes, I am referring to the Safe Web extension.  I must admit that I believe there were Safe Web notations below Related Searches section.

It is the Safe Web extension you are referring to.

On my Chrome, anything below the Related Searches section has no Safe Web notations.
