I'm running Norton Security Deluxe on a Windows 10 PC. Everything is up to date.
Occasionally all the icons on my Windows Desktop that are symbolic links have their standard Windows arrow replaced by a green circle with a white check mark in it. The arrow tags are normally on the lower right of each icon, while the green circles on on the lower center. Much less frequently, the changed marks will be a white circle with a red "X" in it.
Is this caused by some feature of Norton Security? If so, what is the reason for the change and what are the check marks trying to tell me? The red "X"s?
If it's not caused by Norton, can anyone help me find out what is the cause?
