I don't know if this is a problem anyone else is having. My site www.thewallingtongallery.co.uk has been verified by Norton and I have my Green Tick. The problem is that when I do a Google search (using Google toolbar) onThe Wallington Gallery it does not display the green tick very often. The other search results on the page however do have them displayed. I have a friend who has tried a Google search using MacAfee and the green tick does not appear on his search for The Wallington Gallery but displays the green tick for the other sites displayed also. When I do a Norton search the green tick is always displayed. Is there a fix for this.
In order to see the Safe Web rating icons on a search page, the user must have a fairly recent Norton product installed which supports this feature. (Safe Web Lite is a new, free URL-checking software which will be available to anyone, but has just concluded Beta testing and has not been released yet.)
Unless someone has a qualifying Norton product installed, they will not see the Safe Web icons on a search page.
Your friend who is using McAfee is probably using their search safety feature. The reason your friend is seeing a Grey rating icon is because your website is untested in the McAfee service:
