GUI Problems

Hi. I just switched from the 2013 beta to the official release 20.1.1.2. I still have the same GUI problems as mentioned in this beta thread: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360-2013-Norton-Internet/Flashing-UI-in-360-beta/td-p/778968

 

Please note that I did not have that GUI problem in the previous official release.

Thanks for the tip, but I had done that. Just to be certain, I did it again just now, and the problem remains.

What operating system and service pack are you using?

 

Have you checked your video drivers are up to date?

Peter, that should be answered in that thread. I was hoping that linking to it would be enough to keep me from having to repost everything, but I guess I will just have to. I'm running Windows 8 RP 64-bit. It is not a problem with the RP since v6 of 360 worked fine on it. Also, my Nvidia GTX 460 drivers are up to date as of this writing (v306.23). Here is what is happening:

I have also rerun dxdiag and attached the txt file.

As Tim Lopez was dealing with you already in the beta forum, and I have seen this reported elsewhere since the official release, I guess we will have to wait for an update to be released.

 

Keep running LiveUpdate and hope it gets fixed soon.

FYI that when I reverted to v6.4, this problem went away. However, I don't consider this a solution for a v20 problem.

Well, this did indeed seem to have been a problem with Win8 RP. Upgraded to retail Pro, and everything is fine now.
