See here a hacker ( my neighbor i suspect ) filters my SMS text corespondence from my girlfriend and edits the message. The text the hacker included in the message is the row of question marks. How can i stop the hacker from reading and editing my Mobile SMS text correspondence ? I use Norton Mobile security.

thank you Peterweb, appreciate your input. However i am using VPN. And yes i have called on the eThekwini Municipal government in Durban three times to investigate my complaint, but they wont help me because the hacker worked for the eThekwini government. Kindest thank for your consideration.
However fortunately i have gone into the workplace where i dont need to use my computer or have to communicate online.
If your neighbour is as sophisticated as you say, this sounds like an issue for the authorities. If your information is being intercepted after it has left your computer, it is not something that anti malware software like Norton can detect and protect you from. AV software protects your computer. Not the information once the data is already on the internet.
Maybe you need to try a VPN solution. That encrypts your data before it leaves your computer, so nearby hackers would only end up with gibberish if they hacked the data transmission.
thank you for the reply. The neighbour has been a hacker for 30 years. Has an Faraday cage protecting his equipment and uses the latest apps and hardware so eavesdrop into my home. There are 2 off 5 meter aerial he erected years ago between our homes that i suspect he use to access / filter my wireless corespondence.
This has been terribly damaging to my income ( i work as a freelancer at Upwork.com and all my work and communication is via the www internet ) as he is able to find and then contacts my clients who i eventually lose. I am not a hacker or an expert with antivirus but this i know that nearly all my business and income has been lost because Norton failed to protect me or at least warn me that my desktop and mobile device are vulnerable. The Norton mantra "you are protected" was incorrect.
SMS messages are not something that can be intercepted unless your phone, or your girlfriends has been cloned, like on TV shows and movies. Even if this did happen to you, I doubt your neighbour has the where withal to do something like that. It would be law enforcement doing something like this. Cell signals cannot be hacked the way a wifi signal can.
And even if this did happen to you, it would not be anything any security product could do to block it.
