Hello, my name is Jackie, and I am new to the Forum. I did not have a problem with viruses and such until this year. I was expecting the delivery of a package from China, so, when I saw the DHL emblem on an email, I just presumed it was about my package. Well, I clicked on it, and all hell broke loose. Norton did an awesome job in catching it and removing the threat before any damage was done. But, how are you to know? I had another instance where I received an email from my brother. There was a link to click, which was supposed to take me to updated family pictures. Stupid me clicked on it, and here I was again, in hot water. I laid my brother out, and he said it didn't come from him; that someone had hacked his email account, and sent it. I asked him why he didn't notify everyone? He claimed he was not aware of it until that day, when he started receiving angry calls from friends. I do not know how you all feel about it, but this disturbs me terribly. Why would anyone want to cause problems for people they do not even know? It really saddens me that this is what the internet has become. I would appreciate advice on recognizing these types of things before it's too late.
Norton, you are fabulous! I do not know what I would have done without you! I appreciate you very much! Thank you!
