Hello. I am having drastic problems with my computer. A while back, about a week ago, My Symantec Antivirus (Version 11.0 if such information is needed) detected a a virus called '80000000.@' on my computer, classified as a 'Hacktool.Rootkit' Also, a few minutes later, my computer quarantined a 'services.exe'. Much to my surprise, the hacktool.rootkit came back repeatedly and was repeatedly deleted. I decided to shut off my computer, how it would help, and it didn't. When I restarted my computer and tried to login, My computer gave me a BSOD saying something about 'SRTSPL64.SYS' After I started my computer into Safe mode, I found out that this was a Symantec registry file,if I'm not mistaken. I have tried system restore to a point before when I got the virus, scanning with Symantec and Spybot Search and Destroy, and other methods, all to no avail. I have tried to be as detailed as possible so you can be as helpful as possible. I am running Windows 7 on a Fujitsu computer, if you need to know. The only way I can access the internet through safe mode, as it still crashes upon login when run normally. I have looked around the the internet and noticed that a user here named Quads has dealt with a problems similar to mine, though not exact, so I would prefer it if he helps me, though it's not required. From the many topics about this particular virus, he may have his hands full anyway. So any help will be greatly appreciated.
