OK, some background: I had NIS 08 and sometime late last year (I think it was about the time I added a SCSI array), I started to get the shutdown errors like ccsvchst error amungst others. My subscription is expired and I was about to download and try another program like F-PROT and Zone Alarm Free, but find them to maybe be lacking in certain ways as to my specific needs. I now find that at least the ccsvchst error has been fixed in 09, so I am willing to give it anther chance as Norton is compatible with all my programs (I have been using Norton almost all the time I have ever been on the Interent), so I don't want to give it up and try to find another program/system yet (and I also want to run 09 to find out if I get the other errors that I am not getting with 08 uninstalled).
MY PROBLEM: Even after using the uninstall tool and Ccleaner, I am able to install the 09 15 day trial, but it still tells me that my subscription is expired and does not activate the program. Is there any way to use the 15 day trial?
