I just upgraded my Norton Internet Security to newest version, as prompted by onscreen message.
After doing that, I then checked for updates. One of the updates was a patch of the newest version that
I had just moved up to per Symantec's suggestion.
Why should I have to patch what I thought was the newest version of NIS?
Why wasn't the patch incorporated into the newest version before it was sent out?
Clearly, Symantec has gotten arrogant, again. They keep releasing bug infested updates that
need to be patched immediately. No wonder they get such poor marks for the update process.
I too am looking at other antivirus solutions that get the job done with fewer hassles.
NIS has done a pretty good job of protecting my computers, but it is getting to be too much
of a hassle to deal with the inefficient update process.
I have been using Symantec products off and on for many years. Periodically I have to leave
Norton behind until they have figured it out again.
Just another big corporation that really doesn't give a ****.
