Have two accounts, want to delete old one

I have somehow ended up with two accounts, probably through my own doing at some point in time. I would like to delete the old account and just keep the new one. Have searched and can't find anywhere explaining how to do that.

Thanks for the help...Richard

Well transfer the money out of one account and send it to me!

Do you mean the mynorton account, the norton backup account or your account in this forum?

I could answer all three but why guess! I'm sure you will set us straight.

Hi richardg,

If you have got two Norton accounts and wish to close one, then you can contact Symantec Customer Service at the link below; Customer Service is in charge of sorting out issues affecting accounts, subscriptions etc. You can chat with them for free at this link (for US and Canada):

http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/contact/contact.jsp?pvid=cs

Please tell us how it goes - thanks :-)

Did the chat with the help desk and while they couldn't actually delete the account, they did eliminate any credit card info from it. All products on the old account were expired so while it would be nice to actually delete it from the system, I'm ok with a dormant account with no personal information in it.

So was this an account with the Norton Store?

It was the mynorton account (store account).

Thanks -- I was wondering about the credit card reference although I see the new implementation of the Norton Account you access from the product GUI and that contains your KEYs now has a section for Billing Information including credit cards presumably to deal with renewing your subscription.

At least I think that is new -- I didn't knotice it before but then I was not looking for it!
