I have 3.0 just installed still learning about it;  I tried what you suggested last night and again just now.  I click on the online storage option and request delete.  After working for some time, it comes up with choices, but either I pick shows C drive items even though that is not what I clicked on.  Is this what is should show? If so, how do I just choose to delete the whole thing?   I want to completely wipe out whatever backups are currently in online storage?  Plus get rid of the trial of norton backup that I tried in working to settle this issue.  I have tried several things and looked through threads in trying to solve this.  Some threads I found indicated that Tony or Michael would check and wipe out backups from online storage. Hence my original title to this thread.

Hi bruffin,

You can find the step by step instructions to delete the Online storage in Norton 360 Version 3.0 from this Knowledge Base Article. Try the first set of steps (Delete Backup sets) instead of deleting individual files.

After doing this, go to Add or Remove programs and check whether you can see Norton Online Backup in the list of installed programs.

Let me know the result.

Vineeth--

First Control Panel and add/remove programs -- I tried that last night, but looked again just now - in case, but no, backup doesn't show up.

Second, knowledge base, went through those steps last night and tried again just now - in case -- tells me it can not be deleted because I have to have at least one backup set and this is only one.  I also tried creating a new blank one and deleting the old - again tried that last night and just now.  It seems to delete but the capacity available amounts don't seem to change.

As I know, on the Online Backup page you can manage all the files (backups) you have on the Symantec servers. So go to the https://nobu.backup.com page, and log-in with your Norton account. After login you can choose from 3 options:

- use Norton Online Backup as a trial

- activate your Norton Online Backup service you bought

- and manage your Norton 360 storages.

We need here the third. Select it, and click on the Next button. It will show you the backups you have on ther server, and as I know, here you can delete the files too.

Let us know the results.

ps: I never used this site for managing the backups, so there's the possibility that you can't delete them this way.... I would try it....

Tried that last night also, more than once; that's how I got stuck with the norton backup trial and now when I log in there it asks me to install the norton backup even though I did that last night.

Sigh!

Norton Online Backup runs as a service that you should see in your system tray. If it is asking you to install it then it is possible that it was not installed (or not installed properly) the first go around.

With regards to your issues of deleting your online storage. If you are not able to do it from the client then you can send me either a PM or an email with your product serial number and I would be happy to help.
