Help me--quarantined files

I am new to this forum. Ii really need some help. I am running NORTON 360 that I purchased in 2012.

 

I have 2 quarantined files that Norton 360 has quarantined.

 

One reads:

c:\program\microsoft\windows\drm\6ea1.tmp.dat

 

The other reads:

$rjj5dpu.exe

Trojan.Gen

 

I know that they are viruses or malware.  Can I delete or purge these files safely from my system.  If so, how can I do that. 

 

I had one computer years ago ruined no thanks to these sorts of tactics and from my not knowing then.  I am wiser now, but I don't mind asking for help.
