There is one more problem now that I have uninstalled all norton appilications (Norton 360 Ver 2.0 and PCAnywhere) and was able to run NRT but it is hanging at certain point with a message Removing MSI's according to product code. I left the PC as such for about hour and a half but it was stuck at the sam emessage and had to end the process via Task Manager. I even uninstalled my AVG antivirus but of no avail.
Can you suggest any workaround or what the issue is.......
Regards
Eric
Eric,
One workaround you might try is to unplug your network, reboot your computer, run SymNRT (it should run and generally complete in 3-5 mins max), reboot after running SymNRT, then go ahead plug your network back in and yes, reboot again (sorry for extra reboots and yes, we could do it without so many but...). Now you should be able to run the N360 install from that point.

BKennedy,
My machine is not connected to any network, I even disconnected the Internet and tried after restarting the PC but I tstarts properly after reaching halfway at a message Configuring MSI's by Product Code it hangs. I tried it after multiple reboots, downloaded net SymNRT file but of no avail....
Eric
Eric,
Thanks for the update and the attempted workaround try.
Might have couple more questions after I ponder this for a bit. :)

Hi Eric,
Could you confirm the version you are using? There has been an update to Norton 360 v2 (updates to version 2.4.0.4) that might resolve the issue for you. Thanks!
