Have you went to "Manage Log-Ins" in your Norton Product?

That's what he said his problem was with.

 

It all goes back to those "chinese characters" problems that are holdovers from Beta days.  It seems that is there is a crash in NIS, and it has to do any rebuilding of the Identity Safe database, that a lot of spurious and duplicate entries come up.

I just wanted to double-check.

When using Identity Safe to select from - more than one entry pops up.

The only problem is there is only one entry in Manage my logins. (the correct one)

the second or third entry is four underlined boxes.

I will try to post a pic but adding and previewing does not let me see it.

Any way the question is - is there a file that I can manually go into and delete these bad entries.

I guess that I forgot to say I use:

Firefox 3.0.3 running on

XP Build 2600spsp.080413-2111(Service Pack 3) also use

IE 7.0.5730.11

NIS 2009 16.0.0.125

 

Not all enties have dupes but some.

If there is a dupe in the manager I can delete it.

BUT in this case its the unreadable entries that are NOT in the Manager that I need to get rid of.

 

Any suggestions?  Is there a file I can manually edit and delete these bad entries

We are aware of this problem and are working on a fix. The fix will be released via LiveUpdate soon. We do not have a specific date for the release of this patch yet.

Oh, one last thing for Norton Lovers - if there was a reason to upgrade norton 2009 is it.

it has some new features that i really like - background updates, backgound scans when not busy. START UP TIME.

 

Just say I really like - and yes I am a Norton fan.

 

For Non Norton fans - why you all here anyway - thinking of swithing?
