Greetings, I really need help, my wife will kill me if i don't fix her PC (vista home premiun).. I got NIS 2009 and it's froze (do not run any scans) y already try to run it in safe mode with networking and only reads 4,052 files, with no detecting threats or issues. My internet explorer is block or not working (no web page found, or address invalid) because my laptop does have IE. other software like limewire does connect, it's only the IE. When I open NIS2009 and go to my account it shows a pop-up screen title: iexplore.exe - bad image, inside the window says: globalroot\systemroot\system32\ESQULtxlcojiifttcxpddkpdtgwreqycvxiu.ddl it also says that i should contact my adminstrator or my vendor....
I called the Norton technical support, they charged me , of course, but I was told that, as long I can't get on the internet they won't be able to help me, I got the my update number# 494560372 and order number.
I been reading your postings and found i case really close to mine (please see link( http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=nis_feedback&thread.id=61955&view=by_date_ascending&page=1)) and followed the steps given by Quads and delphinium, about dowloading (gmer, rootrepel and sysprot) after a couple of tryies i got them working and here are the logs. I'm also have avenger, please let me know what's the script i have to copy and paste....after this do you think my PC could be fix????
