Hi, I wanted to ask Internauts a question, the ISO that generates the "Full / Hard" backup copy, or the backup is "simple"?

Hi, I’m a newbie at this and I wanted to ask you, when making some adjustments to parameters, for example when taking bootres.dll and editing it so to speak, and then the computer is bricked with this bootable USB or this ISO, could I return my BIOS and everything to its original state? In other words, does this backup include everything? Or is it exempt from these circumstances?
Thnks Internauts…

Hello @MrTekken
Are you referring to Norton Cloud Backup &or Norton Rescue Disk?

Norton Cloud Backup stores and protects important files and documents as a preventative measure against data loss due to hard drive failures, stolen devices, and even ransomware.
Norton Cloud Backup does not create system image backup.
Norton Cloud Backup is not a system image backup solution.

Get started using Norton Cloud Backup [here]

=====================================================

Norton Rescue Disk is a recovery tool that helps remove malware from infected computers. It scans your computer in the Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE) and helps detect files infected with malware. You can use this tool to restore your computer to normal working mode when it is infected so deeply that it will not start.

@MrTekken What is the reasoning for editing bootres.dll? Are you attempting to insert a non-oem boot logo or boot screen animation? Please advise. Norton rescue disk will not return your OS in its entirety. It will scan for and clean any infections that may be present that are keeping it from booting. Editing your core OS files can result in having to perform a clean reinstallation of your OS.

As Guru bjm suggested perform a FULL system image before tampering with your OS.

First of all, I would like to thank you for the support you are offering me. Honestly, I have been surprised by how effectively this community addresses problems. If I am correct, I am designing a startup animation and I already have the “bypass” signature approved. However, when I upload it, I am afraid that my BIOS might get bricked. My computer is a Gigabyte AERO 14 OLED BMF, and for reasons I don’t know, their official website has all the BIOS versions except mine. That’s why I am scared. Another option is to create my own prototype that could copy the BIOS, but similarly, copying it could also brick it. Again, thank you very much for the support, especially SoulAsylum. Bjm, have a very good day devs.

Hello @MrTekken
Why open mouth here

Thank you very much for giving me the hasleo links but I’m a little worried because if I’m editing the logo and it gets bricked, I doubt that hasleo can solve the brick for me, and I’m also a little suspicious because it seems to be the only solution. If you have any other data or information that you could provide me, I would greatly appreciate it as another method to be more secure and not depend solely on hasleo and be able to have several options. I’m attentive and all the information that you can provide me would help me a lot in this project that I’m having. Thank you very much and greetings.

Okay…“editing the logo” is over-my-pay-grade.
Hasleo Backup Suite Free offered as a tool to create and restore system image backups.
Maybe, “editing the logo” goes beyond restoring a system image backup with rescue media.

Maybe, ask over on Haselo Forums here whether Haselo Backup Suite Free is appropriate tool for a bricked system.
Regards w Respect
