Hi

Issue abstract: My sim pin card password just forced itself to activate while I was on the net

Detailed description: I was on space battle forum when all of a sudden. My sim password activated. I didn’t click on anything since there’s no ad. It just forced itself on me with no explanation. I have no additional apps so I’m stumped.

That’s when it happened because I airplaine moded it happened.

This is what the page looked like before the event happened.

Product & version: 5.97.0.2410 17177 Norton 360 with lifelock

OS details: Android

What is the error message you are seeing? This site keeps saying my draft is typing on another window…

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

A little clarification is needed to see just what is happening here.

Have you set a password for accessing your SIM card? Are you saying that you are prompted to enter the password when you put the device in Airplane Mode? That may be normal. I have not used a SIM password so I cannot test.

What in your images is related to being asked for the SIM password?

I set up a password for the sim card. It asked for it in the middle of reading from that image. Then it asked for my password/fingerprint.But the sim passcode should only occur when I restart or turn on the phone.

What you’re seeing is the image before hand. That’s what I saw when it happened. Nothing out of the ordinary happened when it occurred. It just happened.

Airplaine mode worked as it intended.

What device and Android version are you using?

This does not sound like a Norton issue, but something with your Android OS. Did that recently get an update? Maybe with Airplane mode enabled, the app you were using was trying to establish a connection and it caused the SIM password pop up to appear.

No updates. I was just reading the website when it happened. The last app, Samsung Members, update was six-seven days prior. I activated my airplane mode seconds after it occured on my A51.

Version?

So to confirm, you activated airplane mode after the SIM PIN request? So airplane mode does not seem to be involved.

Had you set up the SIM PIN?

If this is the only time this has happened, have you restarted your device?
