HIGH ALERT! Norton fails to catch online banking phisher

Active shield blocks dropped trojans when starting Chrome and when exiting Windows Livemail.

Norton full scan, power scan and emergency recover scan find nothing.

Just now, My Iexplore online banking window was hijaced and a phisher popped up with the request to authenticate myself by posting my creditcard data (standard lame b**bleep**).

However Norton did nothing, not even see it coming after all those scans ive been running.

WTF?

You can't have more than one AV installed  Avast + Norton.

You also have Malware at least like a week or so ago, did you not remove that one??

Sinowal  also Mebroot, Bootkit.

Quads

ls,

first of all thank you fir replying.

I had avast generate the same activeshield blocks.

also ran a full and  a bootscan.

same results. nothing.

dropping and kept happening for some time.

I then resorted to un installing avast and give Norton a go.

ran every tool they offered. same results blocks the drop but finds nothing on scan.

regards,

Mac

Mac,

Let Quads guide you to the solution. He is the expert. Follow hiss instructions exactly and do not attempt to do any self-help fixes.

I will bow out of this discussion now.

Thanks
