Recently I have noticed extremely high battery usage (7-21%) on my Bionic ICS phone and have had to kill NMS just to eak out a little remaining life in the battery. Not sure when this started but at least a month ago. Anyone else experiencing this issue or are there any suggestions for this issue?

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums. 
In the past a number of people have questioned the power usage of NMS but I am not aware of anyone suffering issues recently.
Can you tell us what version of Android you are running and the version of NMS?
How are you reading the power usage you quote and over what sort of period?
Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing NMS to see if that makes any difference?
