Hi there, I have just installed NIS 09 after losing fuctionality of 360 (2) as the subscription had ended (which irks me a little as it should still work but you just cant update)... I chose NIS as I didnt need the extra features with 360 and felt that switching to 360 after using NIS I lost some functions which I liked (like being able to scan an individual file with right click which I feel is handy)... so I downloaded it to my laptop and installed NIS09 and it went ok... I then did a live update and it went well... however after this I noticed that my CPU usage was high (usually up to 100% down to 80 sometimes for brief periods) so I ran the insight tool (pretty nifty) and after that the usage went down to 60% for brief periods and usually hovered around 90-100%... I havent noticed much slow down in program running but sometimes there is quite a lag... what can I do to free up CPU usuage...?
And after I installed NIS09 on the laptop I intalled it on our pc... the CPU usage there seems normal (around 0-7% or so) but when I run live update (which was apparently done 66 days ago) it either says cant do it as the subscription has run out or that everything is up to date and doesnt need up dating, but it still tells me that it was updated 66 days ago...
I run adwatch and ccleaner and advanced regdoctor to clean things out... not sure if any of those conflict with NIS or not... so any suggestions of what I can do to free up the CPU on my laptop or fix the update thing on our pc...??
