High CPU usage ccsvchst.exe in NIS 2011

I am using NIS 2011 on two Windows XP computers - one laptop and one desktop. I'm having the same problem on both computers - very high CPU usage. The ccsvchst.exe listed in the Performance Tab directs me to NIS 2011. It runs high up to 100% on both computers. Idle Time Optimizer and Norton Community Watch are both off. The computers make a lot of noise and are definitely overworking! I have NO idea how to stop this. Both computers are about 4 years old, have been virus checked and work great except for the Norton Internet Security problem. The CPU usage does not correspond to any program running. No scans are running. Sometimes it happens immediately when turning on the computer, other times after the computer is on and not being used. No idle time scans are running.

I have used Norton since version 1. The two computers with problems have had NIS on them and been upgraded at least 3 times.

I am not sure what to do, or even how to explain exactly what is going on. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
