A short while ago, I received a performance alert that said "high disk write usage by services and controller app". Programs path is c:\windows\system32\services.exe.
Never saw this before, and since I am a non-techie who has had their PC ravaged by a virus in the past, everything tends to freak me out.
Full system scan came up clean. Malwarebytes almost done running, also clean so far. Anything to be concerned about?
The one you saw is most probably only an alert, nothing to really concern about.
It informed you that the specific application used (reading or writing) a lot of hard disk's resources.
You can get similar messages about CPU or memory usage, but are alerts to let you know which processes are consuming resources. It can give you knowledge about what is running on your computer.
I will not be worried personally if this is rare and happens when you know you are running that application.
